"Two years ago came news that the economy was in trouble. Back in the Pretty time, bubble heads could ask for anything they wanted and it would pop out of a hole in the wall, no questions asked. But the creative, free-minded, human beings are much more ravenous the Bubbleheads. But they, city council, voted for the reputation economy instead. From now merits and face ranks would decide who go the best mansions, the biggest wall allowances.”
So basically. The more famous you are, the more money you get. I think that’s pretty jacked up. The rich getting richer? That just doesn’t sound right! This book is the sequel to Uglies, Pretties, and Specials. I think that this takes place around three centuries from now. This is a pretty cool book and I’m really enjoying it. This is a fun series to read because he is a very descriptive on how he thinks the future is going to be like. Right now I’m talking to my computer through a microphone & it understands all of what I’m saying and writing it down. It’s a pretty cool. It’s being real pain because sometimes it doesn’t pick up the right words. L O L. Moving on, my question for today is, when does this book take place exactly? What year does this book take place?

Reading Blog
OK, well i need to catch up on these things. . .so here we go. C:The book I am reading right now is "Girl in Blue" and its really good! Its about this girl who runs away from home to join the Civil War disguised as a boy.
Q:"She was going to Flint, but she had another plan. So bold that when she brought it to mind it was like jumping into a cold creek on a hot summers day. And she could do this. she'd been studying on it ever since that day in early April when little Georgie Branwith came running across the creek waving a paper in his hand and yelling something about Fort Sumter and how troops were needed to help fight against the Confederates."
C:That so sounds like something I would do. Run away from home and join the army disguised as a boy. That would be some adventure. . . Q: Will they find out shes really a girl?? And what will happen if they do?

Midnight Sun
I am reading the sneak peek of midnight Sun. Its an entire 264 pages!! Yippee!!! I am only on page 20, but its really good!
"If I killed the girl first I would only have fifteen to twenty seconds with her before the humans would react, maybe longer, if at first they didn't realise what I was doing. She would not have the time to scream or feel pain; I would not kill her cruelly. That much I could give to this stranger with her horribly desirable blood.
But then I would have to stop them from escaping, I didn't have to worry about the windows, they were up to high and they were too small to provide any hope of escape. Just the door. Block it, and they were trapped."
Our beloved Edward Cullen has been having all these ideas, schemes, and plans trying to figure out how he can kill Bella. But every time he regains his control. Obviously. Its amazing how strong his thirst is for her. I mean he has lived off of his 'vegetarian' diet for seventy years now, but this one girl comes along and his inner monster is about to be unleashed. But I really like this book because you can really get inside his head. Yeah we all know whats going to happen, but its like an entirely new experience seeing it from his eyes. And others. Seeing as he is a mind reader, you can also get into other peoples minds. Like Jasper, he goes through so much excruciating pain because he is the newest to their 'vegetarian' diet. I cant wait to finish the end of this really long sneak peek and I am hoping she comes out with the entire book soon!!
Now my question is: What will his point of view be on the part where Bella almost gets run over, and will Stephine Meyer describe his trip to Alaska? Now if you have read this, please don't answer the questions OK? Well I am extremely tired, i just got back from my last show :( But there is another one coming up in May! :) Ha Ha. Can't wait to see you all tomorrow! Have a nice night!

Reading Blog on a few songs
Ok well I am going to do this blog post a little differently. But still in the QQC format no worries! Well I thought it would be cool to do the QQC on song lyrics. I mean it is poetry, and I have read them this weekend. I have also read my book, but I think this would be more entertaining. Oh and even better, I will put a bit of the lyrics up, but not the name of the song, so you guys can try and guess it. "Nobody wins when everyone's losing " I like that quote right there. Nobody wins when everyone's losing. Is it really possible to have everyone loosing? Doesn't there always have to be a winner though? But what if it's a lose- lose situation? Then it is impossible for there to be a winner. This reminds me of Alice in Wonderland at the Caucus Race. Everyone runs a race without knowing where they are running to or when it ends. It's a race that never ends, but when you finish, everyone gets a prize. But if no one knows where the finish line is, can anyone really win?? Ok one last one "Doesn't anyone here live an original life? It is referring to those that are considered to be in the 'popular' group or the 'in crowd'. Most just aren't original any more. Sure maybe at one point they were but they got so consumed in what was thought to be cool, they became plastic. Sure, they have a pretty face, but there is nothing there. There is no originality, no personality. "When you disappear they won't remember your name" I think has two meanings. So that means when you leave them, they won't remember you, they don't really care for you do they? But I think the other one is if you turn away from your real friends, to go to that crowd, then they will see you go through that change, and see you forget who you are and turn plastic. When you forget who you are, they will forget who you were too and only see your shell. Not what was on the inside. Because what is in the inside now, that's not you, that's what someone told you to think. Now my question to you is; Are you living an original life? Or are you living under the influences of others? Are you changing just to make someone think you are 'cool'? Just to be accepted? We all do it, but to what extent??
Or did you surrender to be on the inside,
When you disappear they won't remember your name
and you'll fade away till someone takes your place.
Takes your place
in the in crowd"

reading blog
Ok well I am still reading Lord of the kill, and its still confusing. I was thinking what the were referring to as the canned hunt business was overly exaggerated, maybe even fictional. But my curiosity got the better of me and I googled it. 256,000 hits. Wikipedia articles, Humane society, articles, actual footage, pictures, audio, video. All true. All 100% true. The vanned hunt trade is a black market trade, which puts exotic animals on sale so they can be killed and used as trophies. The poor animals don't even have a slim chance of surviving. They are contained in a small out door pen, and shot at. You can get anywhere from an apalla or a gazelle, to a lion or a leopard. And its going here in the US and all over the world. the guy in my book, Ben, is only sixteen and he went under cover and exposed a canned hunt ranch. Granted the guy that owned the ranch caught him in the act and called the police, but he called fish and game, and the News, and the operation was shut down. But that, as you could imagine, upset some very dangerous people.
"Dmitri had been kidnapped! It was hard to believe, but there was no other answer! Incredible. Impossible. Unbelievable! The worlds largest, most valuable tiger, Lord of the Kill, stolen? . . Ben was breathless at the thought. The Lord of the Kill was stolen, like a huge breathing diamond."
OHH SNAPP CRACKLE AND POP! The most valuable tiger in the world, has been stolen from Ben, I have a theory, it was either the Triads, or the J. Ames- the owner of the canned hunt ranch. I think its more likely the Triads. They apparently make the mafia look like daisies, and it takes alot to successfully kidnap an 800lbs. tiger.
I just want to know who dumped the body in the cage of the two jags, and who stole the tiger. Who do you think did it?

Lord of the Kill
"Ben finally reached number twelve, home of the black spotted jaguars. They were named Paco and Iris, and they were the most vicious cats of all. . . .He frowned at them in the gray silver light and had a sudden chill. Their faces appeared to be smeared with dried blood. . . .Where did the blood come from? He had never known them to fight each other. His heart was now speeding. He slowly circled the compound. Then, behind their den house, Ben saw a pile of torn green cloth. the low fog partially obscured it. In the cloth there seemed to be a half eaten human corpse with dark stains soaked into the yellow sand behind it"
OHH SNAP DUDE! I am reading the book "Lord of the Kill" and there has been a murder commited. A body has been thrown into a cage with jaguars on the Los Coyotes Big Cat Rescue. The owner of Los Coyotes has made many enemies because he has spot lighted the black market of illeagal trade of exotic big cats, dead and alive. Hense forth he has made many dangerous enimies. This book filled with so many twists and turns, I cant even explain all the possible suspects
My main question is this : WHO COMMITED THE MURDER . . .and why did they leave the body in the pen that has the most furocious cats in the park? HOw did they know that the cats would of eaten the body. . .??? So many questions . . .

The Reading Journal thats not exactly a reading journal. . journal. . ?
Ok well this packet that Ms. Kay gave us to read this weekend is. . . .uhmm. . .well. . .let me put it this way, I read it all and didn't really absorb any of it. I think my mind kinda went onto auto pilot with in the first paragraph. With strange new words smashed together like "metaphor of public discourse", my mind went "Whoa. . .I am not in the mood to be absorbing these long words" (well they weren't exactly long, just new) Marketing and media don't exactly fascinate me. . . but see here, if this had to do some how with animal sciences/ veterinary sciences/ or exotic sciences, and marketing that sort of stuff, I would be so into this. Well . . I don't know, I am just not in the mood to be doing this.
But seeing as I am being unbelievably stubborn, I think I will just talk about what I talked about on Friday. Talk about media in some way. See there was this one video that I watched at church. ( I am pretty sure this is a form of media . . .?? It communicated a point via technology, you know via is a fun word lol. . ) Ok getting off topic. But its amazing that how a simple six minute video can move you in such a dramatic way. A life changing way. A way that changes your life style forever!
It was the skit for the song, Everything by Lifehouse.
What got me the most, moved me the most, and my turning point, was the turning point for the person in the skit.
The chorus started a little more strongly than the others before it, with a little more 'ummpff' then there was a second of hesitation in the music and for the person.
Then the music came on again, this time with full on energy. "You're all I want, you're all I need. Everything, Everything"
played over and over again, in a pleading, desperate way, as the person struggled, and struggled.
You could here the crowd cheer in encouragement.
I could help but emit a cry of encouragement as well.
And when she made it,
I made it.
the pieces that came together for her came together for me.
It was indescribable.
If you click on this link, you may not understand it at all, you might understand it. But did I sure as heck understand it. And it changed me. Forever.

Oh and it gets a little cheesy at parts. . .but it still got its point across.
Ok well I am sorry MS Kay that this didn't exactly come out like a reading journal, and especially not in the format you would of liked it in, but I promise that I will go by the book next time.
Over and out

Flowers, Goofy Dogs, Faulty Computers, and a massive migrane for me.
Ok this weekend hasn't been exactly the best. . .I have mountains of work to do:
-This reading Blog
- Finish (or start over again) typing the speech for my POL
- Rewrite my letter of intent for ASB
-POL prep
-POL prep
-oh and did I mention POL prep?
I had an audition Friday for Alice in wonderland, lets just say it didn't go so well. I totally messed up on the song, and the dance audition was treacherous, especially with the shoes i was wearing. As a result I didn't get a callback. . .and I got casted as a flower. I am not complaining at all, I am glad I got a part, I am just wondering if the outcome would of been better if I was a little more on beat. Literally. And my computer is acting up and all the stuff I have typed up this week got deleted, I have looked everywhere for it, its not in any folder, and the rewind on my computer doesn't show anything either! @!$%*!!! So lets see. . if I am counting correctly, I have a good 4-5 hours of work to do. Oh joy. . take a deep breath Sonja, you can do this, don't panic you have plenty of time, I mean you only have about ten pages worth of stuff due tomorrow. . .ok forget it you can panic.. . .
Ok basically I read Marley and Me over break. The beginning was a little too. . . bow chicka wow wa. . . the middle was great, Marley the dog caused havoc and mischief. The end stunk. Plain and simple. I went to see the movie, and I knew what was coming, but I still bawled. No I wasn't crying, I was bawling, literally gasping in my chair, rocking back in forth in my seat, knees to my chin like I had something wrong with me.
To save those of you from humiliating yourselves at the movie theater, wait until it comes out on DVD so you don't have the little boy that is sitting next to you gawking at you with eyes the size of lolly pops. Its defiantly a watch in the safety of your own home sort of movie.
Ok well I am out of here, I need to finish RETYPING EVERYTHING UHHHHGGGG!!!
