Labradors and Vampire Drama
Well I finished Breaking Dawn a week or so ago and wasn't very impressed. Don't get me wrong, I savored every moment of it, but she needed to do another book! She finished it way too quick, It was like she jam packed and shortened two books and put it into one. And the whole happily ever after and forever and eternity thing was good but the Volituri isn't just going to leave them alone with Renesme, Edward, Bella and the rest of the Cullen's to prance around all gifted and not use their gifts to their advantage. . oh well. Does anyone know when Midnight Sun comes out? I think I have Obsessive Cullen Disorder. . . :D
Right now I am reading Marley and Me, and it is so cute!! I can't wait to finish the book so I can go see the movie. Owen Wilson is in the movie and I am excited about that! Owen Wilson is so funny, and I am so glad he wasn't successful in over dosing, it would of been a shame to lose such an amazing talent. But basically the book is about a high maintenance crazy dog that a young couple have adopted. Its really cute, and so far I would recommend it. Well I need to finish up the rest of my homework, over and out.

OMG THE TWILLIGHT MOVIE WAS SOOOO GOOD!!
I loved Twilight!! They didn't mess it up at all, it went almost exactly along the lines of the book! Edward was soooooo . . .dazzling!! :D Don't you agree? And Jacob Black, (I call him shark boy ha ha) Was cuter than I thought he would be!! xDD And Bella was perfect!! When I saw Mike Newton, I couldn't help but to burst out laughing when he said "Arizona!! Wassup?! So its you and Cullen now huh? That's. . That's. . .I don't like it. . No. . ." Mind you when he first appeared on screen I was all like 'EW' i thought He would be slightly cuter. . but he wasn't half bad I guess. .. and Jasper's facial expressions!! Priceless!
OK sorry I just had to have a total OMG girl moment there. . .I can't wait to see it for free on base again!! xDD OK well I am out.

Reading Blogg Breaking Dawn. .Spiolers
All right Well I am reading Breaking Dawn, and its really good. But this thing that Bella is preggers with is killing her!! :(( I swear if I was stronger than Rosalie, I would chop her into a million bits and throw her in a HUGE bon fire! She is just wants the stupid kid thing, and doesn't even care about Bella's well being. I feel really sorry for Edward, he is just watching his wife, (yes wife!! they got married, and of course Jacob got ticked about that) waste away, and he knows that she is going to die and Carsile doesn't think that even a vampire bite can save her from dying after she has had this thing UHG! I don't want to give the book away anymore than I already am. Though I think I already have. Ok well Let me talk about what's going on over here in the gloom of the UK.

Hey guys!
Ok well I am going to make this reading blog short. . .HMMM. . .'reading blog' and 'short' in the same sentence for me. . .wow. . .I doubt it .. . .ha ha .. but I will try!
Ok well I am reading Eclipse right now, and its ok. . . .I mean I am not as in to it as I was Twilight. It was the same with New Moon, wasn't exactly obsessed with it. But I am still enjoying it.
If you don't want the book spioled. . .don't read past this mark
JACOB KISSED BELLA THE LITTLE JERK!! And on top of that when she punched him that dude was so solid it broke her hand!! UhhhGGGG, I don't know how you can be on his side Caitlin. I really hope Edward dishes that dog something, and break his jaw for Bella. Too bad Charlie was watching, I would bet my bottom dollar that Edward would of smacked him from there to Timbuctoo, if he was able to get Jacob alone.
Any way. . . .I really need to get going, and finish packing for England! YAY!!!
Did I mention that Twilight will be playing on the plane on my way back home? Yes, I get to see it before its released!! Ok now I am just bragging, I need to shut up now. Well I will see you guys in two weeks, I miss you guys already.
Much <3

Random thoughts on death and living poem
Random Thoughts Poem--Sonja Cash
Mortality is strange, isn't it?
I mean, we are just so,
so, fragile!
Our lives can end so quickly,
so
suddenly!
People say to "live in the moment"
and "Live like there's no tomorrow"
But do we really do that?
If we were living in the moment,
Wouldn't our world be better?
Wouldn't we be savoring the very essence and joy of everyday life?
Every single moment of it?
Instead of worrying about what might happen tomorrow.
What if we lived like every step was our last?
Or the very breath that you are taking now will be the last to fill your lungs?
But maybe if we did,
We would be too careful,
Maybe, just maybe
we would get so wrapped up in living.
We actually forget its true meaning.
We do radical things to make life the best.
Cliff diving, dare devil stunts
pure adrenaline
But that's not what we will miss, is it?
Its not the adrenaline.
Its the little things, isn't it?
The warm sun against our skin on a mild summer's day
or the refreshing cold of a winter wind,
Isn't that what we will miss?
the littler things that we hardy notice?
What is living?
Living to the fullest?
I guess only I can decide what I can do with my life,
and I have to ask myself if I am living my life to the fullest.
If I believe that I am living my life the way I want to live it,
Then isn't that the fullest?
Not what we notice,
Who we spend our lives with
Not when we decide to do something,
Not where we live it.
But HOW
How we do all those things
if we believe that how
is the right way to live,
didn't we live to the fullest?

New Moon, I have finished!
Hey hey hey!! Ok well I don't know if we had to do a reading blog for school, but I am doing one just in case. It's more of a habit anyway. Just watch when I have moved to the tenth grade, I will still be doing these just out of pure habit. OHHHH!! Ok well I have this thing for Hinder, and I am listening to 'Get Stoned' right now. It's a really awesomely cool song, in terms of music and rhythm, but the lyrics are horrible. But that's beside the point, on with the reading Journal. You know when I was really ticked at Edward last week?? Well I'm not mad at him anymore. I am sorry Caitlin, I am team Edward now!! Ha HA. I can't wait to start reading Eclipse. This is going to be a short reading journal. . I am just not in the mood for typing this week. Oh well. You know what I have noticed, that throughout the two books that I have read, it constantly talks about Bella and how she breaks down facial expressions, of Edward especially. She is always trying figure out what he is really thinking by looking at his face. I guess we all try to read others expressions to see what they are really thinking, but this book mentions it a lot more the most the books I have read. Another thing I have noticed: No one has dared voice a dislike to the book. It's either that all the people that have read the books end up liking the series, or the people that dislike the book are intimidated by the vast number of fans that like the book, and if they voice their opinions they will be viciously attacked by the super crazy fans. That's just what I have noticed. I haven't seen one person slamming the book. Personally I would be scared to go around slamming the book because I know I would get twenty or more responses that wouldn't be very kind. Ok well that's it for this week. I have been thinking of putting up some of my poems that I have written in the eighth grade. (I got 5th place in the 8th grade poetry slam) I really enjoy writing poems. But I find it extremely difficult to write a poem when we have to. (This is why I got 5th place.) Well if you want me to post some of my poems I have written, let me know, and I will consider it. Ok well I am out --Sonja <3

Maya Angelou
We read a few chapters of this book by Maya Angelou. It was about Life & Death (go figure.) There were a few things that struck me, which was totally true. “I can accept the idea of my own demise, but I am unable to accept the death of anyone else. I find it impossible to let a friend or relative go into that country of no return. Disbelief becomes my close companion, and anger follows closely in its wake.” I find that true. If it were up to me to decide who would live and who would die, I would most likely take my own life, if it were to save my friends or family. I would find it easier to take my own life than one of my friends or families. When it comes to my life, I would gladly give it up. But when it comes to my friends/ family lives being taken, I can’t stand it. I would never, ever think of taking their life, or letting them die. As for “disbelief becomes my close companion, and anger follows closely in its wake.” It refers to the grieving process of losing someone. If you have ever lost someone you loved, your natural reaction is to deny the person that told you. When it really does hit you, when you realize that they aren’t coming back, you instinctively question yourself, get angry at those around you, you lash out. It’s the same with relationships. You still lose something. Something has died, just not in the manner that we usually think. For example, a couple just broke up. You naturally deny that it happened, then you get angry, then you realize that it will most likely never come back, or at least be the way that it used to be. You can’t kill a relationship and expect it to rise from the dead without it missing something. It will never be the same way again. Sometimes you realize that it is for the best. Back to real dying, if someone was suffering, and finally passed away, wouldn’t it be better that way? Wouldn’t it be better that they didn’t have to live out their life in agony? Back to relationships: Maybe it was for the best. Maybe it wasn’t a healthy relationship? Maybe it wasn’t the right person you wanted to spend the rest of your life with. Maybe it was for the best. Well I have to end it here. Time is running out in class. I am out. --Sonja

New Moon. . . Its a Love-Hate Relationship-- whats with all the songs??!
Edward, is a . . . hold on let me wait and ponder to find a good word for his incompetence. A jerk, perhaps? No, no, a nincompoop? No not the right word. Oh wait I have the perfect word! My mom and I were talking about this in the car ride home last night. Instead of calling people . . . well, certain words, when they act . . . like certain words. . . We call them muppets, instead of those certain words!! HA, yes I know muppets! So you go up to someone and say, "You’re such a MUPPET!!" and they look at you like you’re insane, just say, "Oh, you don't understand do you?? Well how about this, go home, and Google image a 'muppet' and your face will pop up!!" OHHH, BURN!!! (No not really.) Kill them with kindness!
I know, I know I am turning sesame Street characters into pejoratives, but, that beside the point. Let’s just call Edward a muppet right now. Like I said, this is very much like a love hate relationship. I love Edward, well, because he is Edward, and he hasn't sucked the life out of Bella yet (literally) as much as he has wanted to. But I really hate him for leaving Bella,
(oh wow, I am listening to my I pod right now, and the song 'Leavin' By Jesse McCartney just started playing, how ironic.)
Ok well back to that muppet of a vampire, Edward. He just left her! Walked her into the woods and was all like, "Oh I am leaving, so good bye forever, things will go back to the way things were, and it will be like I never even existed."
AH!! What’s with all the 'I am leaving songs'?! Now "Can't Have You" by the Jonas Brothers is playing!
I will have to put the lyrics on at the end of this blog. It’s like. . A SIGN . . . ohhhh. .scary. . .
Ok on with the blog.
Now what’s with this Jacob guy?! Well Bella is to blame for half of the Jacob thing. I mean she was the one who flirted with him in the beginning. I am not sure about this 'relationship' with this guy. . . I don't think it will end well. And he got really sick too. I have a good theory about that though, but I won't say it.
And. . . .
What of this voice that. . (Dude I swear. . . Thanks for the memories, by Fall out Boy is playing now . . . what’s with my IPod?!)
As I was saying. . . .What’s with this voice that Bella keeps hearing, the voice of the one and only, Mr. I-am-so-mysterious-and-I-left-you-like-the-muppet-I-am. Yes that would be Edward.
(SCREAMS-- THAT'S IT!! IPOD IS COMING OFF!!! 'Shelf' by the Jonas Brothers is playing now . . .!)
-Slightly irritated- NOW as I was SAYING! *grumbles* I wonder if Edward is somehow watching over Bella without her knowing it, and somehow telepathically talking to her. . . I mean it’s possible, I think . . .? Well, I mean, he watched her while she slept without her knowing for how long? Yes I know stalker much?!
Maybe it’s safe to put on my iPod again . . . *hesitantly taps the play button* OKKK maybe not! *takes earphones off* What About Now by Chris Daughtry. . . . . UGH! What’s with all the lovey dovvy, ohh I broke up and I miss you, or I want you songs?! It was really funny at first, but now it’s just plain scary!
Well I am going to stop now, before I smash my I pod into a million little pieces. I am going to put a play list of all the songs I heard today while I was typing this up. . That would be funny I think. . I will also put links to all the song’s lyrics on here, seeing as it would be a REALLY long blog post if I had them all on here in their full length. *Puts earphones in again.*
AHHHH!! MAKE IT STOPPP!! *jerks earphones away from ears* OUCH! (It was On the Way Down by Ryan Cabrera)

Working a newww dooo!! I got a haircut!!! And I am a pirate!!
OK well church is over, and I wasn't the only one in costume, and I didn't win the I phone, oh well. But the person that did win was dressed up as an I phone, which I though was really funny, ( I wish I thought of that!!) The four finalists were Willy Wonka, (I voted for that one), Spongebob, the I phone, and two guys on bikes that were supposed to be Mormons?? I didn't get it but apparently it was very funny. Dani was also there! She was dressed as herself. Jessica was also there she was a Mulan like thing. . . I don't know what its called. Ok well I guess I better do some real home work now. I will have to make another post on the reading journal. . .oh well. . .I guess I am in the mood for typing right now. . .so expect a long-ish journal. . .well I am out on this post, time for a new one.Posted by Pure.Simplicity. at 10:10 AM 2 comments

OMG guys this is so cool!!! You got to check this out!!
OK well I was surfing the Internet and I came across this article called 'A Ring Tone Meant to Fall on Death Ears'
Before I go any further a majority of us have gotten our cell phones taken away during class because some tried to call you or text you and the ringer went off, been there done that.
Well it just so happens there is this ring tone that is at such a high frequency that only we can hear it, adults can't. I was thinking "Ya right this isn't true", but curiosity got the best of me, so I took my laptop down to my parents and tried it out on them. they didn't hear a thing. My dad eventually did but I had to turn the volume all the way up in order for him to hear it. My mom still couldn't hear anything. Don't believe me?? try it out for your selves! Here is the link to the website
http://www.nytimes.com/2006/06/12/technology/12ring.html
The link to hear the ring tone is right underneath the dude talking on a cell phone.
Now, just as a warning, some adults can still hear this, but very few. I thought this was really neat! I wonder where I can buy this ring tone. . . hmmn. . . *currently experiencing naughty thoughts*

Oh Dear . . . I caught the Twilight Bug.
I got the book from Dani two days ago and I am already half way through it. Now I know why everyone likes it. Edward is such a . . . a . . . mysteriously strange character, for lack of a better word. He wants Bella yet he doesn't, he wants to be near her, yet at the same time, nowhere close to her. He wants to be good, yet he is fighting his bad nature. He wants to love her, but at the same time he hates her. It's the same with Bella. Gosh now I know why people are going nuts about the book! I am trying so hard right now to get my homework done with the book sitting next to me. Maybe I will read for just a few minutes. . . I will be back in five . . . 45 minutes later—70 pages Oops ha-ha I won't be doing that again will I? It's so addicting!! I can't stop reading!! Dani if you are reading this I think you will have to bring the next book on Monday. It's so strange, Bella is all goo goo ga-ga over Edward one minute then he says something and she gets all mad. The same way with Edward, (I keep on wanting to call him Edmund for some weird reason. . .) Right now Bella is off with Edward in the woods and he is all shiny right now. Then I stopped, because I then noticed what time it was. Oh I really want to start reading again!! Must . . . fight . . . need . . . to . . . read. . . Oh dear I have caught the Twilight Bug for sure. You guys were right this was definitely worth reading! I guess this wasn't a very . . . focused reading journal. Oh well I am going to go read now. . . I am out guys, hopefully see you all on Monday.

"Twilight": Trailer Reactions. Some Fans are Still Speechless. Some can't Breathe.
OK I am Reading this article on the Twilight Movie Trailer. Apparently fans are going nuts about it. The website was receiving a ridiculously amazing amount of comments that consists of OME's (I am guessing that means oh my Edward?? w/e) and AHHHHHH's!!! When I am done writing this I will have to watch this. Then write my response. . . Here is one of the comments: "I've always liked to think that I am a very articulate speaker, even when things of great excitement and importance happen. However, in light of this recent trailer, I must depart from this standard of writing. AHHHHHH!!!!!! Oh, my gosh!!!! I cannot believe that trailer!!! It is by far the best one yet!!" So yes, even articulate speakers are turning bonkers in light of this third and final trailer. I haven't read the series (Yet). But due to the amazing boom of excitement, am thinking about it. The rest of the article is basically responses from fans who could actually talk. Ok I am going to watch the movie trailer now. Let's see if I like it...... -Goes On to You tube and types in Twilight Official Trailer 3 -watches it Wow... That looks intense man! I have to admit, that defiantly looks like the type of movie I would like to see. I am going to have to read the book first. Ok one question for you Twilight fans, I know half my class knows this, but is the movie a combo of twilight and New moon???

Brisngr: I have finished! Caution: All Spoilers contained here.
-Eragon was sent to Farthen Dur, a dwarfish city in a hollowed out mountain, without Saphira, to oversee the decision of the new dwarf king. While in the city he was attacked by a group of dwarfish assassins from a certain clan that had become his sworn enemy. Orik, the dwarf Eragon was fond of, saw to it and that the clan was banished from Farthen Dur. Soon after, Orik was elected king of the dwarves. And Saphira quickly flew there for the coronation. Afterwards Eragon and Saphira flew to Ellesmera the elfish capital. later in the book Roran was sent on a raid and he directly disobeyed the orders of his commander, in which resulted in Roran getting whipped 50 times. (Even though if he didn't disobey the orders the entire command would have been condemned to death.) But he was then healed and put in charge of his own command, thanks to Nasuada, leader of the Varden rebel group. The raid he conducted went exactly as planned. He was also in charge of urgals as well as humans. One of the urgals questioned his authority, and challenged him to a fight, without any weapons. Urgals, in case you don't know are at least 6-7 feet tall, extremely beefy creatures, whose lives revolve around war. Roran was able to single handedly force the urgal into submission. -In Ellesméra Eragon and Saphira met up with their masters, Oromis the elf and his dragon Glaedr to complete their training. While in Ellesmera, Eragon convinced the elf that swore to never make another dragon riders sword again, to make one for him, though he had to do much of the work himself. He named the blue sword Brisngr, and every time he said the name the sword caught fire. -Glaedr and Oromis flew to join the elfish army to aid in their efforts, while Eragon and Saphira went to the Varden to aid in the effort to capture a city. Eragon and Saphira were successful, but Glaedr and Oromis on the other hand, weren't. They were slain by Murtagh and Thorn, but Murtagh was controlled by Galbitorix for a majority of the battle. Murtagh killed Oromis with a blow to his torso, while Thorn killed Glaedr with a bite to the head. Glaedr retreated to his heart of hearts, which was in Eragon's possession.

Brisngr Has Arrived! Caution potential spoilers!
Well I received the third book of the Eragon Inheritance Cycle and I am loving it right now! I received it four days ago and I am almost half way through it. x] That's sad because I don't want it to end! I got it a day earlier than expected so as you could imagine I was doing the happy dance. Some of you who are reading this are probably going. . "DUDE, What a nerd!!" . . . More than half of of you who are saying that have no room to talk. I am sure you all were doing the happy dance when the vampire book thing came out. Twilight series I believe (Besides, nerd day is on Monday!!). . . I have to see what the fuss is all about with those books. . . If it's making people read, that usually don't read, it must be a good book. Any-who, I guess nothing much has happened. In the beginning Roran [Eragon's cousin], Eragon and his dragon, Saphira went to Helgrind to rescue Roran's fiancé, Katrina, who was kidnapped by bird- beetle like creatures called the Ra'zac and their mounts, which are equally as creepy, the Lethrblaka. The Lethrblaka were described as "A huge twisted shapes. . .Eyes, black, bulging, rimless. A beak seven feet long. Bat-like wings. The torso naked, hairless, rippling with muscle. Claws like iron spikes" The Ra'zac was described as "Unlike their parents [the Lethrblaka are the Ra'zacs parents] the Ra'zac were roughly the same size and shape as humans. An ebony exoskeleton encased them from top to bottom, although little of it showed, for even in Helgrind, the Ra'zac wore dark robes and cloaks." (They also have beaks, often used for picking out the eyeballs of their prisoners or eating them down to the bone. . . . gross. ) Eragon defeated both the Ra'zac, Saphira defeated both the Lethrblaka, and Roran rescued his beloved Katrina. Little to Roran's and Katrina's knowledge, Eragon discovered, Sloan (alive), Katrina's treasonous father, in the cell next to Katrina's. Eragon told them both that he had broken his neck and was dead. But Eragon stayed behind to kill the last remaining Ra'zac of the only two. (To clear things up, there were only two Ra'zac, and two Lethrblaka. Eragon killed only one Ra'zac while he was fighting with Roran. The other ran off. Saphira killed both of the Lethrblaka.) Katrina and Roran flew off on Saphira without Eragon (much to Saphira's disliking) to the only free country, not under the Empire's rule, Surda. That's where the rebel army known as the Varden was staying. Eragon killed the last Ra'zac with great ease. He then took the barely alive Sloan (his eyes were pecked out), and started towards the Varden, Sloan being carried in his arms. (Some back ground info on Sloan- Was the town butcher in Eragon's home village, Carvahall. HE didn't like the idea of Roran being betrothed to his daughter, Katrina. So he turned to the Ra'zac and gave the information about the egg that Eragon brought in months back. The Ra'zac ended up kidnapping both Sloan and Katrina.) To punish Sloan, Eragon didn't put him to death, but instead made him swear in the ancient language ( if you swear using that language you can never lie or break your promises.) That he would never be able to see his daughter again and that he had to walk all the way to the land of the elves. Now when he was to get there, if he ever made it, he would have a home, a place to sleep and food, he would also have his vision restored. But I only have 5% of my laptop battery remaining so I am going to wrap it up here. I won't put a song today, my entry was long enough as it is. Have a nice rest of your weekend everybody! --Sonja

Brisngr. . .I am Still WAITING!!
Well the third book of the Eragon Inheritance, no longer triliogy came out Saturday!! But I still don't have it!!! I preordered it online and it should be arriving on the 24th. So intil then I dont have a book to read. So I will talk about what should be happening. The second book left off where Eragon was reunited with his step brother, Roran. Roran had no idea Eragon was the new dragon rider. There was a sneek peek of the first chapter in the new book I believe talked about how Eragon and Roran flew off with Saphira (Eragons dragon) in search of the Rasac, weird human eating bird like creatures, that killed Eragon's uncle. Apparently (according to the author) a couple of main characters are going to die. He also said that the book got so long, he had to make two different books in order to some it all up nicely, which is good news for me!! (I hope) I was loooking on my package progress tracker and it said this is a 2.5 pound package. Yay a big book!! It left Sacramento at 4 o clock this morning. I can't wait!!

Bengal Tigers and Supporting Roles
Right now I am reading "the Life of Pi' It's about a 16 year old boy that gets trapped on a life boat with an orangutan, a hyena, a zebra with a broken leg, and a 450 pound adult male Bengal tiger. Now you are probably going 'how in the world did this guy get trapped in what you would think to be Noah's ark??' Now Pi Patel was born in India, and his father owned a respectably big zoo. But when times got rough and the government went corrupt, the family decided to immigrate to Canada. Pi's father sold all the animals to various zoos around the world. But a few they kept on the boat so they could drop the animals off in America, on their way to Canada. The boat never made it. Somehow Pi was put on a life boat with all those animals. His brother, mother, and father, didn't make it in with him. At first Pi thought that Richard Parker, the Bengal tiger, was thrown overboard. The hyena eventually killed the zebra and the orangutan. The zebra held on for a long time though, that thing would just not die. After 2 days with a gaping hole in its abdomen it finally died . . . ouch. Next to go was the orangutan, again killed by the hyena. And last but not least Richard Parker finally came out from the bottom of the boat and killed the hyena. Now it's only Pi and Richard Parker, 450 pound mass of 4 inch long fangs and four feet that each have claws the size of daggers in them. And here's Pi Patel, with only the knowledge that he has learned about these animals through the zoo his father owned, and a few belongings in the life saving locker that held all the survival gear has to face a Bengal tiger. Or not face him. This is what really cracks me up. You are stranded in the middle of the Pacific with a tiger in the same boat. You would think your only option would be to stay in the boat right, especially since it is shark infested waters. No. wrong. Pi was able to make a small raft built out of a buoy, a few life jackets, and some rope, and for the majority of his so called 'adventure' he stayed on that flimsy little thing being towed behind the life boat. He would rather be vulnerable to the heat, cold, wind and rain, than be in the boat with Richard Parker. Now that I come to think of it, I would too. Pi only went on the boat only in need of food and supplies from the survival locker. Apparently he survived like that for seven months. OK in other news, I had my audition for CYT Bridge to Terebithia on Friday. I did well in the singing and dancing segment. I got a call back for Character and/or vocal callback. That was yesterday. At the beginning of call backs they put me in with the school girls. (Which happen to be 2nd, 3rd, and 5th graders. . .?) I was one of the oldest ones there. . . .By then I am like. . . "Why am I in with the little people?. . ." So I said, oh what the hay, If this is where they want me, I might as well do good here, so I can get a good part, well I read from the script, but it just so happened that I was called back for three different things, the sisters of Jesse Aarons, the school kids, and Janice Avery. I did my absolute best in reading the scripts for all three parts. I had only 5 minutes to look at the Janice Avery script. I stayed until the very end of callbacks, which is apparently good, because the longer you stay, the more chance you have of getting a good part. I went to the padre game last night and wasn't able to focus. What was real awesome was that my little sister was chosen as the play ball kid, so I got to go to the field and watch her say "those two words we all love to hear!" But though out the entire game I was thinking "What part what part what part?" As soon as we dropped of Sierra (one of my best friends) off at her house, she came to the game as well, I ran into the house to check the cast list on the internet. Nope nothing yet. I got into my PJ's and started reading. We got a phone call from my friend Sierra ten minutes later. My dad answered the phone. He said that the cast list was up. I immediately went onto the website, yelling into the phone "DON'T TELL ME!!!" I opened the page and scanned my eyes down the list, I didn't have to look far. On the sixth line read 'JANICE AVERY Sonja Cash' I screamed. I was bouncing off the walls, I was SOOOOO happy. I was tired a minute before, but I didn't get to sleep last night until about one o'clock. When I read for Janice, I loved her character, I didn't know I wanted to be her until I read the script. But yes. . .I am soooo looking forward to Friday's rehearsal. Well anyway, I g2g! Love you all and God Bless!!' Sonja Cash Janice Avery- the school bully- can I pull it off?

Where I’m From
I am from vans shoes, screen print tees, and those skinny jeans my mom can't stand; From iPods that feeds me music and carries me from my earthly worries. I am from that neatly kept house on the corner with the lush green lawn and the rainbow of roses. I am from my bedroom window, which perfectly frames the Olympic Training Center; One of only three in the nation, in my own back yard. I am from the milk before bed and kisses goodnight. I am from the church and the firm belief that Jesus is real; That he died so my sins could be forgiven because he loves me that much. I am from England and its curry and Sheppard's pie. I am from Scotland and its kilts and bagpipes. From American and its freedom of speech, press, and religion. I am from those boxes you see in the garage, And those dusty old albums that are in that book case no one uses. From those pictures are my life story, my birthdays, all fourteen of them, my graduations. My memories. That made me. Me.

Reading Journal 2
Well I have read up to chapter fifteen in the book 'Breaking Through' by Francisco Jimenez. I am just finding reading in general hard for me right now . . . I am just not into it as much as I used to be . . . oh well. Ok on with the reading journal. Right now Francisco is striving to get good grades in school so he can apply for scholarships and go to college so he can become a teacher. He has been accepted into a scholarship 'association' or 'club' so to speak. I can really relate to Francisco on the whole collage thing, because I really want to get good grades and hopefully get a part scholarship, or maybe, if I am lucky, a full scholarship! Good grades have always been important to me, and I give one hundred and ten percent into them, like Francisco does, but for him it is much harder because he has to study around his very busy work schedule. He is only a junior in high school and he is getting up before school to work, and then having to go to work after school as well. That must be hard, seeing as that he and his brother are the only ones working, and earning money. HIs father has been unable to find work because he is having serious issues with his back. Well that's about it, Tune in next week for reading log #3! Today's song is. . . Fast Car by Tracy Chapman You got a fast car I want a ticket to anywhere Maybe we make a deal Maybe together we can get somewhere Anyplace is better Starting from zero got nothing to lose Maybe we'll make something But me myself I got nothing to prove You got a fast car And I got a plan to get us out of here I been working at the convenience store Managed to save just a little bit of money We won't have to drive too far Just 'cross the border and into the city You and I can both get jobs And finally see what it means to be living You see my old man's got a problem He live with the bottle that's the way it is He says his body's too old for working I say his body's too young to look like his My mama went off and left him She wanted more from life than he could give I said somebody's got to take care of him So I quit school and that's what I did You got a fast car But is it fast enough so we can fly away We gotta make a decision We leave tonight or live and die this way I remember we were driving driving in your car The speed so fast I felt like I was drunk City lights lay out before us And your arm felt nice wrapped 'round my shoulder And I had a feeling that I belonged And I had a feeling I could be someone, be someone, be someone You got a fast car And we go cruising to entertain ourselves You still ain't got a job And I work in a market as a checkout girl I know things will get better You'll find work and I'll get promoted We'll move out of the shelter Buy a big house and live in the suburbs You got a fast car And I got a job that pays all our bills You stay out drinking late at the bar See more of your friends than you do of your kids I'd always hoped for better Thought maybe together you and me would find it I got no plans I ain't going nowhere So take your fast car and keep on driving You got a fast car But is it fast enough so you can fly away You gotta make a decision You leave tonight or live and die this way

Breaking Through Weekly Reading Log #1
For our first book in Humanities with Ms. Kay, we are reading 'Breaking Through' By Francisco Jimenez. In our first unit we are learning about perspective, in which we are reading through Francisco's point of view.
When Francisco was four years old he illegally immigrated to the United States from Mexico with his family. He lived in the United States for ten years, and they were never caught. But that changed one day when a Border Patrol Agent came into his class and took him away, along with the rest of the rest of his family and deported them back to Mexico.
They were able to get legal papers for Francisco and his older brother, Roberto, but it would take a little bit longer for the rest of the family to theirs. So they made the decision that Roberto and Francisco would go back to their home in California to go back to school and for Roberto to continue his job at his High school as the school janitor. But when Roberto came back for his job, he was already replaced. Roberto and Francisco had to go work in the fields for a few weeks. But a month or so later it didn’t work for the replacement and Roberto got his job back. Another month or so later the family was reunited, because now they had their legal papers.
So far the book is going really well. I am curious to see what happens next in this book. Once you think a family could go through nothing worse, I have a hunch something will go wrong. There is still at least 100 pages to go so I will just have to find out won't I?
Today's song is In The End By Linkin Park
It starts with one thing I don't know why
It doesn't even matter how hard you try
keep that in mind I designed this rhyme
To explain in due time
All I know Time is a valuable thing
Watch it fly by as the pendulum swings
Watch it count down to the end of the day
The clock ticks life away
It's so unreal
Didn't look out below
Watch the time go right out the window
Trying to hold on, but didn't even know
Wasted it all just to watch you go
I kept everything inside and even though I tried,
it all fell apart
What it meant to me will eventually be a memory
of a time when I tried so hard
And got so far
But in the end
It doesn't even matter
I had to fall
To lose it all
But in the end
It doesn't even matter
One thing, I don't know why
It doesn’t even matter how hard you try,
keep that in mind I designed this rhyme,
to explain in due time
I tried so hard
In spite of the way you were mocking me
Acting like I was part of your property
Remembering all the times you fought with me
I'm surprised it got so (far)
Things aren't the way they were before
You wouldn't even recognize me anymore
Not that you knew me back then
But it all comes back to me (in the end)
You kept everything inside and even though I tried,
it all fell apart
What it meant to me will eventually be a memory
of a time when I
Chorus
I’ve put my trust in you
Pushed as far as I can go
And for all this
There's only one thing you should know
(2x) Chorus
